GAP Food-Packing Director

Principle Function: The Director of the God Always ProvIDES Food-Packing Program is a key member of the IDES team. The GAP Director is in charge of managing the food packing program for the ministry, which consists of the following:

Job Duties:

  1. Outreach and development of new partners/volunteers/donors via GAP Program.

  2. Scheduling packing events far in advance.

  3. Organizing and running the packing events (3-4 weekends per month) *extensive traveling required*.

  4. Representing IDES at packing events and speaking engagements.

  5. Occasionally teach and preach.

  6. Managing the dry-food & supplies inventory of the GAP section of the warehouse.

  7. Managing a steady financial budget of expenses vs. donations.

  8. Maintaining relationships with packing event coordinators, volunteers, and IDES staff & board.

  9. Researching and implementing potential improvements to the GAP program.

  10. Networking with ministry partners.

  11. Occasional opportunities to travel internationally.

  12. Researching and executing international shipments of the GAP meals to partner

    missions and missionaries in critical need.

13. Any other duties needed to help drive IDES' Vision, fulfill IDES' Mission, and operate by IDES' Values.

Working Relationships:

Responsible to: Director of Operations
Works closely with: Volunteer Coordinator, Finance Director, Communications Specialist, and Projects Manager

Knowledge, Skills or Experience Required:

-Able to drive manual transmission box truck (IDES can provide training) -Able to operate a fork-lift (IDES can provide training)
-Good communication skills
-Good organizational skills

-Good computer skills
-Able lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis

Knowledge, Skills or Experience Preferred:

-Leadership of medium-size to large-size groups of people -Public speaking
-Basic mathematics and statistics, Budget management -Basic writing and document production

-Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint -Basic computer and technology processing -Resource and inventory management
-Outreach, development, and fundraising

Time/Location: Full-time position based out of IDES’ Noblesville, Indiana Headquarters working a minimum of 40 hrs per week (Frequently work weekends)
